Pricing questions

Is Privycs a hosted VPN service?+
No. Privycs is a client app for any standards-compliant VPN server you run (your own gateway, a friend’s server, a colleague’s router). We don’t sell tunnels; we sell a really good app to manage them.
What does “dormant mode” mean for Pro?+
Pro features ship today with the gating master-switch turned off. Every user on every platform can use every feature for free until the switch flips in a later release. Buying now locks in the launch price and the same license keeps working when gating activates.
How does the cross-platform bundle work?+
You receive a single license key by email. Drop the same key into the Android app, the Desktop app and (when it ships) the iOS app — each verifies offline against an embedded public key. No account, no phone-home, no online activation.
Why is iOS €10.99 single and not €9.99?+
Apple takes 15 % of every App Store payment under their Small Business Program. We absorb part of it; the €1 bump covers what stays at Apple. The bundle (sold off-store) keeps a flat €19.99.

Gatekeeper warning?+
There shouldn’t be one — the build is notarized and stapled. If macOS still prompts, right-click the app and choose Open the first time.
Do I need a Privycs account?+
No. Privycs VPN has no accounts and no sign-up. You bring a config from any provider or your own server and it just works.
Does it work with my existing VPN?+
Yes — import any standard .conf, .ovpn, .sswan or .mobileconfig from any commercial provider or your own box. Privycs adds pools, rules and failover on top.
Is there any tracking or ads?+
None. No analytics, no telemetry, no ads. Configs and keys live in the app’s private on-device storage and never leave your device.
