IPv6 connectivity test

IPv4 reachable — GET https://api.ipify.org?format=json resolves via A record only. Success means your browser has IPv4 transport.

IPv6 reachable — GET https://api6.ipify.org?format=json resolves via AAAA record only. Success means native IPv6 transport works end-to-end.

Dual-stack preference — GET https://api64.ipify.org?format=json serves both A + AAAA records. The reported IP shows which stack your browser's Happy-Eyeballs algorithm preferred. A healthy dual stack prefers IPv6 by default, so this only scores the IPv6 side: preferring IPv4 costs one IPv6 point, while IPv4 is unaffected and always reaches 10 when reachable.

A DNS resolution — GET https://ipv4.google.com/generate_204. ipv4.google.com has only A records, so success requires both an A-capable DNS resolver and working IPv4 transport.

AAAA DNS resolution — GET https://ipv6.google.com/generate_204. ipv6.google.com has only AAAA records, so success requires both an AAAA-capable DNS resolver and working IPv6 transport.

ISP / ASN — GET https://ipapi.co/{IP}/json/ for each address. ipapi.co's free tier is rate-limited; persistent failures usually mean you exceeded the unauthenticated quota.

All requests are made from your browser directly to the test endpoints. Privycs does not see or store the results.
